Andrea (Vocab) Sanderson: 2009 IWD rally MC
A poet, singer and hip hop artist known on stage as ‘Vocab’, she has been a spoken word artist since 2001. She opened for the Green Party ‘s vice presidential candidate and hip hop activist Rosa Clemente. Andrea enjoys volunteering with non-profit organizations and is committed to the progressive movement by organizing and facilitating showcases and conducting writing workshops.

Krudas Cubensi es una collectiva mujerista, Hip Hop, de artes visuales, teatro en zancos y poesia, desde La Habana,Cuba. Somos tribu que cree firmemente en la acción de las mujeres como parte central y matriz en el cambio del mundo.

Katrina Gil: Reproductive Rights in South Texas
Reproductive rights and policy activist in San Antonio. She has been working to combine work on racial and reproductive justice.

Bayan Ayad: A young voice, a strong voice
Eleven year old Bayan is a young activist and the daughter of Palestinian immigrants that moved to San Antonio after having lived in Venezuela.

Dulcie “Digh” David w/Vocab: Musical performance
A singer/songwriter, poet, and native of Kerala, India. Dulcie will trace elephant stories on your skin with the scent of a paddy field and a palm frond. She speaks to topics about women, immigration, and other social justice issues.

Maria Ávila: Streetview/Desde las calles
She is a long time activist involved in building a support and communication network between sex workers in San Antonio. She works to end oppression, violence, and lack of healthcare for women sex workers.

Alyssa Newton: Poetry/Poesia

Sarah Montoya: Everything is a queer issue
Originally from Corpus Christi, Sarah is a local activist, volunteer, writer, poet, and college student. She seeks to promote feminist, anti-capitalist, anti-racist, anti-homophobic ideologies in her community and school.

Kelly Logans-Ali: Women's community support
Kelly is a licensed clinical social worker with 18 years of experience as an advocate and practicioner in the healthcare arena for women, girls, and their families. She is a founding member of the Martinez Street Women’s Center, and director of the Maternal and Child Health Promotora Program. In 2003, KLRN honored her as a San Antonio “Outstanding Woman in the Community.”
